Applications of carbon nanotubes  (1 May 2010)

Carbon nanotubes were discovered in 1991. Since, they have kept surprising and wondering scientists due to their mechanical and electrical properties. They are perfect conductors likely doing perfect electrical interconnections and intensive electron sources for TV. Their mechanical properties are thought to be useful for manufacturing highly solid and light ropes. Finally, they constitute perfect hydrophobic surfaces.

Carbon nanotubes  (30 April 2010)

Carbon nanotubes are carbon sheets (graphite) that are rolled up. By playing with growth conditions, they can be organized differently either into ropes or into flowers whose shapes remind coral ones.
